New service centre opens in Kuwait City

Our seventh service centre brings rewinds, spares and 24/7 breakdown cover closer to oil, water and power customers in Kuwait.

Large motors stripped down for repair in a service workshop

Our seventh service centre opened in Kuwait City on 30 June, giving oil fields, water and power plants in Kuwait a Norvik workshop within an hour’s drive.

What’s there

The 3,200 m² workshop in the Shuwaikh industrial area has a 40-tonne crane, a vacuum pressure impregnation tank for rewinds up to 3 MW, a 1 MW test bench and a spares store stocked for the drive trains we support in Kuwait.

  • 28 engineers and technicians, 19 of them already based in Kuwait
  • Six service vans and a mobile workshop for remote sites
  • A direct option for Kuwait on the 24/7 breakdown line

Why Kuwait City

Until now, large repairs for Kuwaiti customers were trucked to Jubail or back to Jebel Ali, adding weeks to every job. Most of our installed base in Kuwait is on oil fields, desalination and power plants, all within reach of the new centre.

A rewind that took six weeks door to door now takes two.

The centre is led by Faisal Al Enezi, who joined Norvik in 2011 as a field engineer in Jubail. You can reach the team through the breakdown line on +971 4 555 0299: choose the Kuwait option and you go straight through.
