Slow coffee in hand-thrown cups

A small café in a warehouse in Al Quoz, with a pottery studio in the back. Every cup on the counter was made here, and the coffee is roasted two streets away.

Open seven days in Alserkal Avenue, from 8:00 every morning

We opened Little Kiln because we wanted somewhere to drink good coffee out of something that felt good in the hand. Seven years later the shelves are full of cups, the regulars have their favourites, and on Saturdays the wheel never stops.

From the regulars

  • My flat white tastes better out of the speckled blue one. I don’t care if that’s science.

    Mariam A.Google review, August 2026

  • Took my dad to a taster session for his birthday. He’s now bought his own wheel.

    Priya S.Google review, May 2026

  • Best cardamom bun in Al Quoz and I’ve tried them all. Get there before ten.

    Omar K.Tripadvisor review, July 2026

  • Quiet enough to work in the afternoon, friendly enough that you don’t feel like you’re in an office.

    Ellen K.Google review, March 2026

  • They brought Simba a water bowl before they brought me a menu. We’re regulars now.

    Rania H.Google review, September 2026

  • Lamps low, records on, clay everywhere. Late-night throwing is the best Friday night in Dubai.
