Budgets
What’s the smallest project you take on?
Around AED 45,000 for a launch pack and AED 60,000 for an identity. Below that we usually can’t give a project the time it needs, and we’ll happily recommend a freelancer we trust.
How do you price?
A fixed fee for an agreed scope, quoted in writing after the first call, in UAE dirhams and excluding 5% VAT. We don’t bill by the hour. If the scope changes, we price the change before doing it.
How do payments work?
50% when we start and 50% on delivery. Projects over AED 180,000 are split into three stages. Invoices are due within 30 days.
Do your fees include print, media and production?
No. Print, media, venue hire and stock photography are quoted separately, at cost, so you can see exactly where the money goes.
Timelines
How long does an identity take?
Six to eight weeks for a refresh, ten to fourteen for a new identity with strategy. Naming adds four to six weeks.
Can you work to a fixed launch date?
Yes, and most of our launches have one. We plan backwards from the date and tell you on the first call if it isn’t realistic.
When could you start?
We usually book four to six weeks ahead. Right now we’re starting new projects from early January 2027.
Process
Who will we work with?
The same small team from start to finish: a creative lead, one or two designers or writers, and Fran or another producer. The people at the first meeting do the work.
How many rounds of changes do we get?
Two rounds at each stage are in the fee. In practice, most projects need fewer.
Do you do free pitches?
We’ll meet, talk through your brief and show relevant work for free. We don’t do unpaid creative pitches. If you need routes to choose between first, we run a paid two-week sprint from AED 25,000.
Do you work outside Dubai?
Yes. About half our clients are elsewhere in the UAE and the Gulf, from Abu Dhabi and Sharjah to Riyadh and Doha, and we travel for workshops and shoots.
Who owns the work
Who owns the final work?
You do. When the final invoice is paid, we assign you the copyright in the final approved work, in writing.
What about fonts, photos and music?
They’re licensed from the people who made them. We buy licences in your name where we can, and list every one with its terms in the handover.
What happens to the routes we didn’t choose?
They stay with us. We never sell or show unused ideas to a competitor of yours.
Will you show our project on your website?
Only after launch and only with your agreement. If you need us to keep it quiet, we’ll sign an NDA.
