Holiday camps

A themed week of experiments, building and making things, in every school break. 9:00 to 15:00, with early drop-off and late club if you need them.

What it’s like

Every camp has a theme that runs all week, from Space Week in the winter break to Desert Explorers in the spring. Mornings are for the big experiment of the day; afternoons are for building and testing. From November to March we add a morning trip to Mushrif Park; from April to October it is too hot, so we stay in the air-conditioned Lab House, with water play in the shaded garden first thing.

Lunch is a hot, halal, nut-free meal cooked by a local caterer, with a vegetarian option every day and a menu sent to you a week ahead. Children with allergies have their own named plate and a leader who checks it before it reaches the table.

On the last afternoon parents come in at 14:30 for the Friday Show: every group presents what they made, and everyone goes home with a certificate and a kit to try one experiment again at home.

How it runs

  3. 12:00 Lunch and play

A hot lunch, then quiet games indoors, or the shaded garden in the cooler months.

  4. 15:00 Home time

Collection from the Lab House, or late club with quieter projects until 17:00.

The spring camp was the only week he didn’t ask for a screen. He still has the bug hotel on the balcony.

Parents ask

What should my child bring?

A water bottle, a sun hat for the garden, and clothes that can get messy. We provide lunch, snacks, lab coats and goggles.

Can friends be in the same group?

Yes. Add their names when you book and we’ll keep them together if they’re within two years of age.

Do you go off site?

Only to Mushrif Park, by minibus, between November and March, with a ratio of one leader to six children and a register at every stop. You’ll know the plan in the Monday email.
