After-school club
Two hours of hands-on science after school, Monday to Friday in term time. Our minibus brings your child from school, we feed them and send them home proud.
What it’s like
Our minibus collects children from Ghaf Grove School, Crescent Park School and Sidra Hills Academy straight after the bell, with a driver, a bus supervisor and one of our leaders on board, and has everyone at the Lab House by 15:00. Snack is on the table when they arrive: fruit, crackers, cheese or hummus, and water or milk.
Each weekday follows its own theme for the whole term, so a child who comes every Monday builds a term-long project rather than a string of one-offs. Children are split into Sprouts (6 to 8) and Shoots (9 to 11) so the science is pitched right, and they come back together at 16:45 to show parents what they made.
Friday is Friday Lab, a smaller group for 9 to 11 year olds at the Lab House, working on one bigger build across the term. Schools finish at midday on Fridays, so families drop off at 15:00. This term it is a wind-up rover that has to cross the lab in under a minute.

The minibus brings children from the three partner schools, with a register at each school gate and at our door.

Fruit, crackers and the big question of the day, like why does a boat float but a coin sink?

15:30 Guess and try
Everyone predicts on the guess wall, then tests it in groups of four with a leader.

16:45 Show and tell
Parents arrive to a two-minute demo and a very proud explanation. Collection by 17:00.

Prices include 5% VAT. 10% off for brothers and sisters, and term passes and camp weeks can be paid in two instalments.

Parents ask
Which schools do you collect from?
Ghaf Grove School, Crescent Park School and Sidra Hills Academy, Monday to Thursday. Children from other schools are welcome if a grown-up or your driver drops them at the Lab House by 15:00.
What if my child is off sick?
Let us know by 12:00 and we’ll move the session to another day this term at no cost.
Do they get homework time?
Not formally, but older children can sit in the reading corner with a leader from 16:15 if you’d prefer it.
