Product Designer

Research, prototype and design products that store, warehouse and bank teams use all day.

About the role

You’ll join our Abu Dhabi studio as the designer on a product engineering team, working with a delivery lead, a tech lead and three to five engineers. The products are rarely glamorous and always used for hours a day: store apps, depot dashboards, onboarding journeys.

You’ll do your own research. That means shifts on shop floors and loading docks, interviews with call-centre staff and watching people use your prototypes. Then you’ll design and test the product with the engineers until it ships, and keep improving it after.

You’ll report to Sam Whitfield, our Head of Design, and work alongside seven other designers in Abu Dhabi.

The work and you

  • What you’ll do

A typical month, though no two engagements are the same.

    • Plan and run research with real users, often on site
    • Turn findings into prototypes and test them within days
    • Design interfaces for mobile and web, working in our design system
    • Pair with engineers on build details and accessibility
    • Present your work and reasoning to client teams
  • What you’ll bring

If you meet most of these, please apply. We’d rather hear from you than not.

    • Three or more years designing digital products that shipped
    • A portfolio that shows research and iteration, not only final screens
    • Confidence running interviews and usability tests yourself
    • Working knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA)
    • Fluent English; Arabic is a strong plus
