What Tessel reads from each
Metadata, logs and code only. Tessel never selects rows from your tables.
-
dbt
Reads the manifest and run results after each run for lineage, owners and tests. Fix pull requests edit models and YAML.
-
Airflow
Reads DAG runs, task logs and retries through the REST API with a read-only user.
-
Dagster
Reads asset materializations, asset checks and run logs through the GraphQL API.
-
Snowflake
Reads information schema, query history and table load times. Never selects from your tables.
-
BigQuery
Reads INFORMATION_SCHEMA views and job history for freshness, volume and schema checks.
-
Postgres
Reads system catalogs and statistics for freshness, volume and schema changes. Works over SSH tunnels.
-
GitHub
Opens fix pull requests and lineage comments in the repositories you choose. Never merges.
-
Slack
Posts grouped incidents to the owner or channel, with buttons to acknowledge, mute or open the fix.
-
PagerDuty
Pages the right person only for tables with a freshness promise, and resolves the page when the fix lands.
Connect in three steps
-
Orchestrator
Add a read-only API user for Airflow or Dagster, or a dbt Cloud service token. About five minutes.
-
Warehouse
Run our setup script to create a metadata-only role in Snowflake, BigQuery or Postgres. About ten minutes.
-
Repository and alerts
Install the GitHub App on your pipeline repositories and add Slack. Your first incidents appear after the next run.
Integration questions
Do you support other warehouses?
Snowflake, BigQuery and Postgres today. Databricks and Redshift are on our public roadmap; tell us if you need them so we can count you in.
Can Tessel run inside our network?
Yes. Enterprise customers can self-host the collector in their own cloud account so nothing connects in from outside.
Are these official partnerships?
No. Tessel connects to these tools through their public APIs. Product names are trademarks of their owners and don’t imply endorsement.
